Picture this, a stunning backyard patio on a warm summer evening, delicious food, and a sound system playing a steamy jazz track or the latest tunes or some modern rock records. Fill those pitchers with margaritas, or some vodka and pineapple juice, or frozen cordial for the kids. All that remains are loved ones who will come in numbers. For my part, I cannot think of a more appropriate time and place for a barbecue.

Now when planning your barbecue menu, don’t forget that even the simplest food becomes totally delicious with the smoky flavor of barbecue. The classic sausages, hamburgers, steaks, chops or chops are somewhat simple foods. Top them with onions or bell peppers and these vegetable side dishes mix in flavor just by cooking them on the barbecue.

Make it easier for yourself. Gather some pre-cut greens and prepared salads at your local grocery store. These same outlets also stock, in large numbers, some ready-to-grill beef skewers, marinated chicken, souvlaki, and fish. Depending on what you want to cook, this could save you a considerable amount of prep time.

Pick up bunches of strawberries and grapes, some watermelons, cherries, and some rock melons while you’re at the grocery store. Arrange these fruits on an elegant plate and you have a simple yet tasty and attractive dessert. Oh, it’s also important to keep these fruits refrigerated. Maybe place the dish in a large tray filled with ice. It’s up to you what recipes you want to prepare for your guests, but you can have all kinds of different barbecues.

For a casual outdoor barbecue, try a cookout with barbecue ribs. Ribs can take a long time to cook, so remember to start a few hours early. Serve the ribs with some garlic bread and corn on the cob right off the grill. On the other hand, this type of barbecue is neglecting the little ones.

For a kid-focused cookout, I recommend giving them a choice between hotdogs or hamburgers. Remember to teach them how to add some vegetables to their plate! Arrange salads with carrots and celery sticks so they can add them to their dishes themselves without being forced to. If you’re looking to entertain with sophistication (for dinner), try serving up some grilled salmon, small Asian vegetables, and some steamed white rice as a side.
