In a story this week from El Paso, Texas, the Mexican government had hired American lawyers. They have filed a lawsuit against Walmart for its negligence in failing to provide security to prevent the August 3 shooting. You will remember that a gunman entered the store in the Cielo Vista shopping center and killed 22 people and injured 24 others. A horrible tragedy, to say the least.
Let me understand it. Did the Mexican government sue Walmart for a shooting? In 2018 there were more than 33,000 drug murders in Mexico. In 2019 they are on track after six months to beat the 2018 record. Let’s see, that would seem to be extremely silly behavior, wouldn’t it? And living there must be a state of frenetic or chaotic activity? It’s crazy.
In the UK last week, a Muslim man who showed his neighbor a video of him raping a 4-year-old girl avoided jail time. Counsel sentenced Defendant to two years in prison with two years suspended, provided he himself does not engage in such activity.
