New Balance 993 – What an amazing shoe that I have worn on and off for the last 15 years or so. Every once in a while I try a Nike or another brand, however I always come back. I really love the fit and retro look of this shoe. I have a wide foot so this shoe was perfect, very comfortable for me and for different buyers it can be used for multiple purposes. They always give you excellent arch support, mild to moderate overpronators. This model is really worth its money, even if it is a bit expensive: a great shoe. Highly recommend!
Lighter than 992 and better than 991
Decades ago, New Balance discontinued the 991 foam cushioning and replaced it with the 992 gel cushioning, the predecessor to the 993. Today, they update the 993 by consisting of gel and foam in its cushioning. By comparison, they are lighter (320g) than the 992 and again feel like putting on a pair of socks like the older 991.
