How to Design Websites and 5 Things Every Beginner Web Designer Will Face

Most of us are not computer experts, so designing websites is not second nature. So when it comes to styling you will run into some problems

1.Technical knowledge

2. Expensive Software

3. Accommodation

4. Web address

5. Time

These 5 things can be a nightmare or a walk in the park.

What you need is some software, some tips that I can give you. You really don’t have to be a computer expert to design a website. You also don’t have to spend your money on software to build this great looking website. Unless you build sites for high-income clients, then you can save money and settle for free for now.

Technical knowledge

There’s really no way around the technical knowledge option. You’re going to have to spend a couple of hours to understand what you’re really doing. It’s important to understand how links work so that when something doesn’t appear on the site, you know how to fix it.

You also need to understand a bit about HTML, so if you need to put code on the website, you can do it by knowing where to do it.

Avoid expensive software

There’s a piece of software that a lot of tech-savvy people use and it’s called NVU. This makes designing a website as easy as cutting a cake. You can barely have knowledge of HTML and still be able to design a good website.

The good news is that it is free. The bad news is that you should spend time getting familiar with the operations of the software. But is it worth it.

Choosing the right accommodation

Every website needs a home, and this home we call hosting servers. You will need to obtain a domain name and set up hosting with a company of your choice. I personally like seaside accommodation because it’s so cheap and it gets the job done.

Make sure you choose a trusted and proven company because you don’t want potential customers browsing your site while taking it down. Godaddy is good and Gatorhost.

You need a web address

When designing a website, you want to choose the theme of what you want, and then choose a name related to that theme. So if you were going to create a website for Real Estate, then you should have a domain like RealEstate4You.com.

A bit obvious. If you’re looking for sales and brand recognition, then I’d say buy a .com or .net, but for informational purposes I’d do a .info or .biz. To get a domain name, you need to go to GoDaddy.com for cheap names.

it will take time

The last thing is time. It will take time to create a design the way you want it to look. Sometimes you will run into software glitches that would slow down the design process.

Be sure to spend time testing the operations and links of the sites. One thing to remember is that your “index.html” file will be the file that opens automatically when someone enters your chosen domain name.

In this article you have learned the things involved in designing a website and how to design with Free Software.
