6 tips to prevent sleep wrinkles

If you are experiencing wrinkles or would like to reduce wrinkles, there are several suggested measures that I am sure you have heard of, such as staying out of the sun, keeping your skin hydrated, and using a high quality anti-wrinkle product.

But did you know that there is something else that is really simple that you can do to prevent wrinkles and it has to do with your sleeping position?

According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), sleeping in certain positions night after night causes sleep lines, which are wrinkles that are infused into the skin’s surface and don’t disappear once you’re awake.

Sleeping in certain positions, especially on your stomach, can lead to more pronounced wrinkles. For example, sleeping on your side increases wrinkles on the cheeks and chin, while sleeping on your stomach causes a frown.

You can stop these wrinkle formations by sleeping on your back and incorporating the following into your sleep routine:

1. Different sleeping positions

There is no doubt that the best way to prevent wrinkles is to sleep on your back, but sometimes it is not easy to do so. To help him get used to sleeping on his back, try placing pillows around his shoulders. You can also use a pillow under your knees to take pressure off your lower back.

2. Good quality pillow.

Avoid sleeping on cotton pillows because they will press the skin against the crease of the pillow and cause folds (wrinkles) to form on the face.

3. Feather pillows

Feather pillows are soft and fluffy and allow your face to melt into the pillow.

4. Pillows to sleep

These great pillows help improve the quality of your sleep, allowing you to sleep on your side while taking the pressure off the front of your face.

5. Satin pillowcases

Excellent to help reduce sleep wrinkles. Satin pillowcases help keep your skin flat by allowing your face to glide over the pillow, which minimizes wrinkles in your skin, rather than allowing it to crumple like a fabric pillowcase would.

6. Apply Vaseline on the face

Vaseline is great for keeping skin hydrated and retaining moisture, apply at night to help keep skin soft.

Sleep wrinkles can be avoided by following a few simple steps, as it is much easier to prevent wrinkles than it is to spend time and money trying to repair them.
