Toddler Designer Clothes: Trends and Waves

Over the years, the fashion industry has expanded and evolved dramatically. Styles and trends, one wave after another. In fact, many of the designers decided to undertake a “tiny” expansion of their fashion empire. Designer toddler clothing (or you could also say children’s or children’s clothing) is becoming popular over the years. More and more designers have joined the adventure of creating luxurious pieces of tiny outfits for these little progeny.

You really wish you were a kid again, I swear.

These tiny outfits are like adult fashions inoculated into children’s clothing and downsized, so irresistibly cute! Children’s clothing is no longer just cute and practical, it is now in fashion too! Today’s fashionable parents view their children as extensions of themselves. From toe to toe, parents are so crazy about dressing their kids in designer labels and high-end children’s clothing. It’s no wonder designers are tapping into this field of the clothing industry.

“Children are so lucky today, especially in this generation …” I agree with this common statement. Whether it’s entertainment or clothing, the generation is now fully reaping the seeds of the previous generation’s work. Sometimes people ask “Is it necessary to wrap your children in such luxurious clothing while they are still in the crib? They don’t even know how to spell the word ‘fashion’!”

What I believe is that, in the fashion industry, there is no “why” in clothing design, but only “how” you are going to design fresh new ideas that will intrigue people and create new waves. I think a lot of designers love to see their creations worn by those adorable little ones, walk the runway and be proud of them, that’s why there has been this kids fashion fuss since the times of 2005. Some of them are mothers and have single children who piqued her interest in designing clothes exclusively for her little one. In the end, they decided to share love with society, introducing new collections to children’s clothing, expanding the industry.

A relevant example would be celebrity designer Stella McCartney, who recently announced her collaboration with GAPkids and BabyGAP in the press. For years, she always wanted to roll up a children’s collection line and put her threads into miniature designs for the little ones. She believes that children’s clothing can also be fashionable and affordable. In the midst of the economic crisis, how lucky are the little ones to have designers thinking about their parents’ pockets as they shop for their adorable toddler designer clothes?

When it comes to “designer brands,” we could easily name a few well-known brands like Baby Dior for their adorable collection of bear logo cotton clothing; Burberry with its beautiful plaid prints; Ralph Lauren Kids with their stylish polo dresses and there’s a never-ending list if you had to name them all. Designer toddler clothing ranges from luxury brands like Chloe, Baby Dior, Dolce & Gabanna to a mid-range like GANT, Levi’s, and Juicy Couture. Not only that, there are also specific celebrity designer collections like Jessica Simpson Kids and our most anticipated Stella McCartney collection launching in November 2009.

Wrapping up in designer labels can feel like you’re already living a hedonistic lifestyle, let alone generating additional income for the toddler designer apparel industry out of our pockets. However, it is our demand that keeps the fashion industry going and adds colors to our lifestyle. We adults live so generously, why not let our little ones enjoy it too? I think these little ones deserved to snuggle into the designer pieces too.

Comfort is the most important factor for toddler clothing, as their soft skin is very fragile to any material. That is why some designers also join the “go-green” campaign (using organic materials), saving the earth and providing the best comfort to the little ones. A well-known brand would be Babysoy, the first company in the world to create a newborn’s wardrobe with soy protein fiber. All Babysoy products are made from renewable natural resources, such as leftover pulp from tofu, soy milk, and other soy products. These little sets are preshrunk, machine washable, and adjustable. Kind to busy mothers who don’t have time to hand wash their baby’s clothes and affectionate to the skin of young children, cradling them in the best comfort like their mother’s arms. Plus, these little garments are pesticide-free, hypoallergenic, and incredibly soft and breathable – ideal for your delicate skin.

Obviously, the toddler designer apparel industry is flourishing and more designers are springing into action, designing the fanciest mini garments. These outfits can be found in boutiques, in quaint city spots, or even online. There are also many different styles that you can choose from to dress the little ones. Spring Summer Fall Winter.
