The first thing to do for a glorious year ahead

Gloria, it’s a New Year! What does this New Year have for you? To a large extent, you determine how this year will turn out for you. What you do at the beginning of the year determines what you get at the end. This article encourages you to do the first to enjoy a glorious New Year.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you – Matthew 6:33 (NIV).

Prepare your outer work, Make it fit for you in the field; and afterward you shall build your house – Proverbs 24:27 (NKJV).

In any race, how you start affects how you run and finish. So this New Year demands a great start for you to get through and end it successfully; the choice is yours. As such, wise preparation on your part will produce a fruitful year for you.

The first things for the New Year

1. thanksgiving

It’s important to start the year off with quality time thanking God for all he did for you last year, for bringing in the new year, and for what he intends to do for you this year. It is good to thank the Lord. Truly, there are many things to thank God for, including his life and salvation. This is because many people started last year with you but are gone, and your relationship with the Lord not only determines what comes your way here on earth but also where you will spend eternity. So, you should thank God that you are not lost.

2. Spiritual preparation

Physical manifestations result from spiritual activities in the spiritual realm. If you don’t get involved in them, your enemies, including the devil, will get involved against you. You need to dedicate yourself to the study of words and prayer, because you are a product of what is inside of you. When you have more of God, you will behave more like Him and you will overcome as He does. Therefore, for you to win this year, you must partner with the Lord who has never failed and never can fail.

3. Seek the kingdom of God.

Seeking first the kingdom of God guarantees that everything else will be added to you. This is because everything is subject to God and when you please him and do his will, he easily commands your desires to go your way. Also, nothing is impossible with God, so he seeks his will first.

4. Plan now

Quality time with God generates ideas that will bear great fruit, because God wants you to succeed and have the good things in life. So the next thing he should do is plan according to what he has received from the Lord. The Almighty will help you execute it by directing you, but you must do the planning first.

5. Pursue and don’t procrastinate

The vision quest is a crucial step to take if you want to smile at the end of this New Year. Ideas and plans that are not executed are unprofitable and useless to you. In addition, the search for your plans provokes your creativity and brings you closer to the desired end. So, you must put actions to your plans, no matter how small they are by time. And give no place to procrastination, because it kills the visions.

6. Glorify God

As you pursue your plans, never forget to give glory to God for each step or stage you reach. Continued glory to the Lord draws more of divine intervention from him and you know you can’t go very far without Christ. Therefore, it is not enough to start with God; you must go on and finish with Him so that you enjoy a glorious year.

Conclusion

This New Year promises wonderful things for you, including success, but you must take action to receive them. Once again, doing first things first as above will see you overcome all the obstacles the enemy will put in front of you and grant you your heart’s desire at the end of the year. However, you must cling to God throughout the year. It will be great for you in Jesus name.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
