The art of flipping houses

To really understand how to switch houses, you can compare it to something else. Have you ever considered the metaphor of art?

Metaphors are one of the best ways to understand anything. If you really want to learn something new, speed up the process, deepen the learning… you adopt and compare the new topic with something you already know. Something familiar to you. Something simple

This is a metaphor. This is comparative learning. The greatest teachers in the history of the world have used metaphors over and over again to instill their teachings in others. The method works because it applies a basic truth about human understanding. is the concept of being relative.

We understand things, concepts and realities for WHAT THEY ARE NOT.

We know the high… because we understand the low. We know long… because we understand short. We know the heat… because we understand the cold.

And vice versa.

And so flipping houses is also relative to other things. In this discussion, art.

And how is it like art? Well, we must consider the definition of art: beauty, expression, individuality. Creativity and passion. There are many ways to understand art, to grasp what it really means. And one way art can be understood is “taking something ugly or basic and turning it into something beautiful or refined.”

Sounds like flipping houses to me. On the one hand, turning a house over means having a house that could use a facelift. Maybe even major surgery. Ugly, plain, in need of repair. Many times, the more damaged and deteriorated, the better it is. The more capable of changing the house is the fin of the house, the more it becomes a “work of art”.

These types of houses make stellar fins. You must start small to do a lot.

To another, remodeling a home means having the ability to upgrade, tear down, lift, tear down, and fix. Creation and design. A house move project needs teams to get the job done and do it well. Everyone who has worked in this business understands the importance of the crew. There are too many possibilities for problems in any home renovation project to work with unorganized or unskilled workers.

The home remodeling project is similar to a painting canvas that a painter needs. Canvases alone will not inspire anyone. But give a skilled and artistic painter some brushes and paint…and the blank canvas, and soon there will be something to look at and talk about. Something of value.

Finally, flipping houses can be compared to art because in art, presentation counts. A beautiful painting needs a beautiful frame. A finely crafted figure needs a graceful foundation. An exciting book needs a provocative cover. Still, a remodeled home for sale needs a few finishing touches, accents like furniture, washed windows, and mowed grass. The house also needs a marketing plan: expressive photos and captivating descriptions.

Flipping house is best understood by comparing it to concepts that are similar, but have a different theme. Art is a different subject, yes, but amazingly similar, as the process of change and creation in art is very similar to the process we go through when we flip houses.

Most people who build houses for a living don’t consider themselves artists. But I can assure you… they are.
