technology and christianity

The Christian religion tells the facts that God created the world and all living and non-living things that are present in the world. God created every living thing on the face of the earth, and man was finally created to rule over everything created by Him. God gave everything man wanted to live. When man fell into sin, he was forced to leave the Garden of Eden and work the land to survive.

The man began to work in the fields and required sharp implements, knives and other equipment to till and plow the land. Man began to look for the need for him and as the need increased he gave rise to technology. From then on, technology advanced to meet the increasing demands of man.

Ancient mankind was gripped by the fear of pantheism. Pantheism promotes the concept of superstitious belief about nature. This concept was later transformed into fear in man. Man was subject to the slavery of nature, which made man fear natural laws.

Christianity helps humanity to free itself from all kinds of fear, including the fear of pantheism. It proposes that the world is nothing more than the creation of God. God came down to earth as a human being, lived on earth and spread the good news of eternity and removed fears from the hearts of humanity. God suffered on the cross for the salvation of people and promised that everyone who trusts in his name will be released from bondage and will obtain eternal life.

Christianity freed man from unwanted superstitious beliefs about nature that helped mankind advance in the progress of technological growth. After the rise of the Enlightenment period, there was a great progress in technology that man began to improve things to make life better and minimize life’s miseries. In that effort, humanity became more civilized and entered the solar system and began to analyze things for the betterment of society.

As technology grows more and more, man has moved away from the fear of God. This, in turn, separated man from God and also from the spiritual values that were previously held dear. This caused man to use technology for destruction. God wants humanity to make use of technology for the benefit of humanity and not for destruction. That is what being a true Christian is all about.
