Suzuki Motor Corporation has been in business since 1909 and is headquartered in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. The current CEO is Osamu Suzuki and the current COO is Hiroshi Tsuda. The company’s main source of income comes from the manufacture of motor vehicles and light trucks. The company also manufactures motorcycles and outboard motors. The company was originally founded in 1909 by Michio Suzuki as the Suzuki Loom Company which manufactured looms for the Japanese silk industry. Michio Suzuki also filed up to 120 patents for different products during his time with the company. The company’s first motor vehicle was manufactured and distributed to the public in 1955. It was called the ‘Suzulight’ and was a light car, as evidenced by its name.

Before the company started manufacturing motor vehicles, it began manufacturing motorcycles. His first motorcycle rolled off the assembly line in 1952 and was more or less a motorized bicycle.
