Southwest Austin Communities – Shady Hollow and Circle C Ranch

Southwest Austin is one of the hottest areas in the Austin real estate market. These strategically located communities enjoy the convenience of short commutes to downtown Austin, the University of Texas, AMD, the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and much more.

Two of Southwest Austin’s most popular communities are Circle C Ranch and Shady Hollow. The Circle C community is home to hundreds of people who fully enjoy the quiet, well-maintained, and family-oriented neighborhood. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is right next door to the community where guests and residents can enjoy viewing various beautiful plants and flowers found throughout the state of Texas.

Just minutes from downtown Austin, Circle C Ranch is one of the largest planned developments in all of Texas. The neighborhood offers residents numerous outdoor activities through the establishment of soccer fields, hiking trails, golf course, swim center, parks, and playgrounds to promote healthy recreational pastimes for the entire family.

Shady Hollow is another Southwest Austin neighborhood close to good Austin ISD schools, including Bailey High School within the community. Though conveniently located about 20 minutes southwest of downtown Austin, Shady Hollow maintains its laid-back, small-town vibe.

The Home Owners Association is very strong within the community and many of the children join the Shady Hollow swim team. The pool at Capistrano Park is one of the popular community attractions and also includes a tree-shaded picnic area and a lighted basketball court.

Neighborhood residents routinely organize outdoor activities for everyone to come together and have fun. To demonstrate their unity with the entire community, Shady Hollow residents keep up with the latest happenings through their monthly newsletter called Shady Hollow Highlights.

Children who live in both Shady Hollow and Circle C Ranch attend the famous Bowie High School, a highly regarded school with a Blue Ribbon School rating. There are newer schools in the area including Baranoff Elementary School and Bailey High School. High school graduates can continue their education at the University of Texas, just a few minutes’ drive from southwest Austin, or at any of dozens of other Austin-area higher education campuses. The convenience of short trips creates more family bonding time, even if the kids are already in college.

The Shady Hollow and Circle C Southwest Austin communities are prime neighborhoods within Southwest Austin throughout the state of Texas. If you’re looking for a quiet place to call home without sacrificing the convenience of living close to downtown, then Southwest Austin is definitely a place to consider.
