That is exactly what you have to do when bookmarking your website. Try to use online websites that provide dofollow links, but also make sure you’re not just looking for dofollows and ignoring nofollows, as this also matters just as much as the variety of links.

Try to socialize with additional bookmarks, pages, and people on the website, if they have such a community, don’t put links every day, etc.

The best thing to do is to choose a category that is as specific and narrow as possible for your website. It’s not exactly an SEO element, but it still counts. And anyway, all those other groups that possibly seem to have millions of site visitors are going to be crowded anyway.

On Fiverr, you can easily find out that some people can create 10000 social bookmarks for you for $5 gigs. Alright, don’t go for them. You also shouldn’t go with all those conveniently available and inexpensive automated link building methods. In fact, you shouldn’t go for any kind of tool, no matter how high-quality it is for link building. Not really for social bookmarking, not for web 2.0, essentially not for any kind of link building. Do it by hand and your site will forever thank you.
