Orange Touch: a revolutionary mobile phone for the new generation

Orange has always shown great interest in Windows Mobile phones. They had models like

SPV E650 that was running on Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and now they have introduced a more sophisticated touch screen model called Orange Touch. It is a collaborative effort with HTC Dual Touch Phones.

Orange is the first pan-European operator to launch a touch phone in the UK. Before we take a look at the features of the mobile, let’s see what its internal configuration does. The phone is a Windows mobile and the device has 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM, GSM/GPRS/EDGE quad band and supports almost all desirable frequencies for the network. The dimension of the phone is only 99 x 58 x 13.9mm. Orange Touch is a genuinely light and small smartphone. There are two colors to choose from black and green.

The phone offers a very convenient way to access applications. Just one touch is enough. Orange Touch has some features similar to original HTC Dual Touch phones like TouchFLO, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and others. Orange has opted for a 12-key keyboard instead of 20 keys and has made some changes to the phone’s display.

The Orange Touch phone has a 2 megapixel camera for quality photos and videos. You can use Internet Explorer to send email, upload data, and explore other things on the Internet. This Pocket PC has a 2.8″ TFT LCD screen that supports 65,000 colors. TouchFLO technology helps you navigate, scroll up and down documents faster. You can view web pages, messages, documents and contacts by simply flicking one finger.

Swipe from bottom to top, left to right, right to left on the Orange Touch screen. You feel the zeal of mobile technology and how they have made things easier for us. The inclusion of GPS and Wi-Fi Internet could have made things more convenient in this mini computer phone. Well, let’s hope for the best that Orange Touch introduces these features later.
