what you see – Simple but elegant, and small but big, the Noodle Bar in Hyderabad Central offers much more than just loads of noodle delicacies. It now appears to be a modest sized restaurant from the lobby, but the saying, ‘Appearances can be deceiving’ proves to be true with this one! Because you’ll soon learn that the three side-by-side restaurants – Bombay Blue, Noodle Bar and Copper Chimney – are owned by a single family under the Blue Foods banner.
Step into any of these three restaurants where the glass acts as a dividing wall, and of course, you’ll have the feeling of being present in a grand restaurant. Although the kitchens are separated since they serve different cuisines, the bar is common for all three. The bar serves cocktails, mocktails and alcoholic beverages.
What you get – Basically serving lunch and dinner, the menu at the Noodle Bar features Thai, Japanese, Chinese and other oriental cuisines and is quite extensive with both starters and main courses. One nice thing about the menu is that it is self explanatory. If the quaint names of some of the dishes make you wonder, then the accompanying description gives you a lucid overview of what to expect.
Try their special Tom Yam Thai (Thai soup with noodles, vegetables, and treats) and dim sum for starters. Another specialty of the place are the Teppanyaki sizzlers. Give them a try if you want to get an idea of Japanese cooking style. These are available in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian variety.
However, if you are one of those who prefer to stick to what you normally eat, then go ahead and make your own choice of stir-fried noodles. The servings here are (more than) enough for one person. Otherwise, the Noodle Bar Signature, a combination of rice and noodles with vegetables, can be a meal in itself. By the way, there’s no better way to end it than with the sizzling brownie here. A scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in heavenly hot fudge is how we would define it.
The verdict – If your craving for a perfect Chinese lunch hasn’t been met lately, then Noodle Bar is a good and satisfying choice. Veg have enough to choose from here though non-veg food is also served. You don’t need to wait long for your food to arrive here. Hospitality, in fact, can become another reason for you to intervene again. All in all, a great way to end your shopping endeavor in Hyderabad Central.
