Holistic medicine: the power of Bach flowers

Dr. Edward Bach, (creator of the well-known Rescue Remedy), had a special purpose in natural medicine. In 1930, he discovered the first seven homeopathic flower essences, later “The Twelve Healers” emerged. He later completed the healing system consisting of 38 flower remedies. The remedies would be the first of his kind to treat personality. Fear (and anxiety), Uncertainty (decision making), Lack of interest in present circumstances (inability to concentrate), Loneliness (talkativeness, impatience, and withdrawal), Hypersensitivity (sensitive, angry at loss, need for protection), Discouragement, and despair (depression, hopelessness), were the seven groups that “represented fundamental conflicts that prevent us from being true to ourselves”.[1]

After suffering near-death exhaustion from his intense workload,* he left a prominent practice in London, England in search of his natural personality remedy. Her intention was not to gain fame or fortune, but to help the sick and suffering with a totally natural approach to total balance. This system would treat personality, it would treat emotions, and it would balance the way a person feels.”inside“. Bach Flower Remedies are an effective tool to restore total balance. Easy, effective, with no known side effects.

What lessons are we here to learn?? Modern culture has preached the false doctrine of fear. This fear-based condition exists from an attempt to balance the spirit with the material. This kind of disappointment can never bring happiness. These conditions will teach us eventually, after “his nerves are gone, his heart is damaged, and his bones ache.”[2] However, wouldn’t it be nice to learn to live simply and get past these fundamental concepts? The faster we return to equilibrium, the better.

How will I know they are working? “Flower essences create a clear state of consciousness that affects the personality, the physical body, and the genetic code,” says Dr. Bach. The floral system was designed to work with human behavior and how does a person feel, since that will be the basis of the remedy suggestion. Tea repeating of fear, anxiety, jealousy, loneliness, depression is the evidence that the lesson has not been learned. Behavior and the physical disease will persist until the lesson is learned and the flowers will work when applied with the correct recommendation.

How do Bach Flower Remedies work? The flowers are not an essential oil like lavender, they are an essence. That is, they are packaged as a medicine that is preserved in high-grade alcohol. This is necessary so that the essence (or energetic potential) is suspended, or preserved, until its consumption.

When administered with the correct flower of the 38 essences, the Bach Flower Remedies work to eradicate a person’s core behavior and balance it with the opposite attribute. Teaching the person how to look at or think about something differently.

The symptoms of any physical illness seem to fade, emotions return to a state of balance. A feeling of relief will appear. The flowers have an extremely subtle approach. If the results are not apparent at first, don’t give up. Questions to ask: Has the recommended treatment period been six weeks? Does the recommended or self-selected remedy fit the needs of the personality? Make the appropriate corrections and start a new six-week protocol, if necessary.

Reach out to others: Communicating is one way to help strengthen those close to you for the times ahead. Tell them about the Bach Remedies as you continue to understand them.

How we react when in conflict with outside influences will determine our ability to treat others “responsibly.” Our energy balance and positive attitude will be affected based on how we treat others. Interference will come in the way of rude or sarcastic people, from accidents, unfair employers, etc. By dealing with these interferences, our imbalances such as depression, anxiety, lack of courage will express themselves as our emotional report. This is the beautiful mixture of human life. The personality patterns we learn best from will be in our inner circle, such as our family relationships and loved ones, work relationships, and friends. The secret to maintaining emotional balance comes from understanding this.

How do we “act responsibly”? In order to treat others responsibly, we must allow others to be fully what their unique personality dictates. Living and conducting one’s own life, as well as responsibly planning our own actions. Mastering how we respond to interfering external personalities is critical to this process. Dr. Bach has said that he handles these situations as he would in a game against a “skillful opponent”.

Total balance [Authors Note]: There will be a definite need for a stronger personality in the times to come. It is our ability to adapt to the changing world and ongoing stress. When we are balanced, we are happy, fun, and offer the world the best of us. In any state of health, the first step is to recognize that we know that we are here to learn from ourselves more than anything else. The Creator of our souls has an important role in this process of learning and helping us. When our will is aligned with the will of the Creator, this total balance is easier to achieve.

Works? When will I feel it? Most people feel a subtle growth toward the goal they seek to achieve. A recommended treatment is six weeks. Within the first day you may have a full breakthrough or need to continue for six weeks. Do not stop if the treatment is working 50% or better.

The flowers work by faith in this process. Directing the healing method towards the personality is a spiritual/emotional approach to medicine, faith is needed for the Bach Flower Remedies to fully achieve the desired effect, just as faith is needed to perform any healing modality.

Where can I buy Bach flower remedies? They are expensive? Most health food markets sell Bach flower remedies. The price of each remedy bottle is not expensive. You can seek out a certified Bach flower practitioner if you need help with the suggested remedies.
