High IQ and thirst for knowledge

Einstein once said that curiosity was his friend and his memory a faithful servant. Well then, what is more important; the question or the answer? Well, friend, I will submit to you, depending on who you ask. Because if the person you are asking is you, then the question is more important, because the simple act of asking a question sends you on a journey to seek the answer and discover new things, for which more questions arise. This is how an active high IQ mind works. let’s talk yes?

You see, this topic came up a couple of years ago in our think tank, and Mark, who is a genius in his own right, said to me; “I have no idea why my mind wants all this information. I’ve always been curious all my life, but I never thought a simple trip abroad would require so much thought.”

It doesn’t ‘take’ as much thought, but your mind enjoys the process, so it just slips away. There’s nothing wrong with taking curiosity and combining it with imagination, plus belief, creating a world within a world, hey, did you see the movie “Limitless” and “Inception” reminds me of all that, with a little of “Matrix” in the mix – very good.

For my reader, so you can follow me, here are some tips to get into curiosity mode. You could try this; take the package, read the ingredients, and then try to reimagine the supply chain, from the crops in the field to the used tractors, the rubber, the steel, and the hydraulics, who made them, where they came from, to the mines iron ore, to the rubber vulcanization plant, to the GPS manufacturer that runs the electronic hardware inside the combine harvesting the wheat, to the seeds, to the labs that design the seeds, to the BMW that drives the guy in the laboratory, to his home, to his college kids, to his friends and family, to the lady next to him. How many degrees of separation is she, you, from that product that you have in your hands?

That’s what I do. I watch people and piece together their life stories, guess their profession, what brought them there, what they are thinking, based on body language, facial expressions, clothes, shoes, etc. It’s amazing how good you can get at this, and what if you went a little deeper into their life, asked them questions, and found that you were dead in your estimation? It happens to me all the time.

Try this also on your next walk, look at a commercial building, imagine the interior, the design, the furniture. How accurate do you think your projections are of the room, lighting, temperature, airflow, furniture in those rooms, buildings, and businesses as you walk down the street? You may be surprised at how close your estimates are. Perhaps there is a possibility of mounting a brain wave on the photons flowing through the window? Then enter the building to see how close your predictions are, hone your skills and refine your predictions and probability judgments in your mind, it will be easy to remember when you were wrong and when you were right.

Try it, you’ll be surprised: Curiosity is a wonderful attribute for a high-IQ, fast-processing mind.
