Future car concepts versus practicality

We are constantly surrounded by images of what our future car could look like. It’s always a sleek, lean design that has the body covering the tires. How practical could these models really be?

Were the older cars from the 70s incredibly wide and took up a lot of space? Do you know why they changed the design? For better mobility of course! Many ideas and concepts that you see today are broad and flat. This might help with aerodynamics, but it would be incredibly difficult to move on a suburban street.

The cars of the future do not look like family cars. There could be a time in the future when families would probably use public transportation to take their children. The face of public transport could also change as the train and bus systems are already using modern technology to transport people.

Hover cars could also be on the cards for the future and this could be exciting for everyone. But it could come with its own challenges. Imagine the car breaks down in mid-air, and you don’t know how to fix the hover system. There could be a case where your hover car is too heavy for the hover crane because it is carrying dead weight instead of guiding a hover machine. But perhaps automakers anticipate this eventuality.

Giant engines mean a lot of maintenance. We already have V-12 engines today, but it can be a huge gas guzzler. With fossil fuels becoming scarcer, we will have to turn to other means of fuel.

Larger windscreens and panoramic roofs are also part of our future. It makes the car look interesting and you have a better view of your surroundings. This is especially wonderful when you’re taking a scenic road trip or driving at night. Driving with the beautiful stars above you is an experience like no other.

Electric cars are also fast becoming part of our immediate future. They run on electricity and soon we will have electric filling stations instead of gasoline or diesel. There will be special tires designed for these electric cars to ensure the economy of the driving experience.

With the proper engineering and testing of these future cars, we can live an easier and more fun life. After all, the purpose of our future is to help our present.
