A disability is a malfunction that takes place in the individual. It can be a mental illness, a chronic illness or a physical, sensory, cognitive or intellectual impairment; It is a disorder of academic and functional skills that includes the ability to read, write, speak, listen, reason, and organize information. It does not mean that one has low intelligence. It means that there is a deficit in the brain that affects the processing of information.

A mood disorder is a condition in which the existing emotional mood is distorted or inappropriate. Harrison Ford was known for the best performance of him in the Star Wars film series. He suffered from depression in his youth, slept excessively and had trouble studying. He overcame all of his fears once he enrolled in drama classes.

Diana, Princess of Wales and first wife of Prince Charles, their marriage fell apart in the late 1980s. She suffered from depression which led to the bulimia eating disorder which she had repeatedly throughout her adult life.

Patty Duke, a renowned actress at the age of 17 became the youngest person to win an Academy Award in a regular category. She was not happy and in 1982 she developed manic depression caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. She is under medication with which she deals with her problem.
