Cartoon Characters Who Probably Have Bad Credit

Credit scores seem to rule our world, sometimes helping us get the homes we want, and sometimes preventing us from getting a new car. There are many things you can do if you have bad credit, you just have to look around and work on your spending habits to help raise your score. However, no matter how bad your credit may seem, think about how bad it is for some cartoon characters. Not to mention how many of them would be in debt.

Family Guy’s Peter Griffin is a quirky father who seems to do whatever he wants regardless of the consequences and how it may affect his children, Stewie, Chris, and Meg, or his wife, Lois. The reason you are probably in debt is because of the crazy things you buy. He bought his daughter an army tank for a first car. An army tank. Some of his other weird items that he has bought are a giraffe and a T-Rex. At one point, he was flooded with welfare and was “given” more than he should have gotten and spent like it was going out of style. This shows that Peter wants more than he can afford, but will buy it anyway, which usually leads to lower debt and credit rating. He also seems to jump from job to job frequently. He has been a fisherman, worked in a beer-making plant, worked in a toy-making plant, and at one point was a jousting knight at a Renaissance festival. Jumping from job to job can eventually hurt your credit and show lenders that you don’t have a consistent income.

The next character is Wile E. Coyote. Wile E. chases a Road Runner through the desert or anywhere. You seem to buy a lot of expensive equipment from Acme, but you don’t have a job except to go after that Road Runner. When it comes to your credit, a simple rule of thumb is to live within your means. That is, if you only earn enough to live in a one-bedroom apartment, drive a decent car, and eat sandwiches for lunch and dinner; then you probably shouldn’t live in a 3 bedroom house, drive a Porsche, and eat at expensive restaurants. Of course that’s an exaggeration, but you get my point. If you don’t live within your means and fall behind on your payments, it shows up on your credit report and makes you a big risk for lenders.

Johnny Bravo probably has very low or no credit scores. Johnny is a young man who reminds many of us of Elvis, but with a pompadour blonde hairstyle. It is about women, but not so much about work and he lives with his mother. In real life, there are probably many people who live with their parents, and there is nothing wrong with that, but if you don’t have a job and are making regular payments for things, then you are probably not building your credit. Johnny buys things, usually candy or chocolates for his love interests, and he may have a gym membership. If he has a gym membership and it is in his name and making the payments, then this could be used as a form of credit to him. Lenders like to see that you have at least three lines of credit open for about a year and that you also have a steady job for about a year. Johnny, on the other hand, probably needs to get a job and start paying some bills if he ever wants to build up enough credit to move into his own place and get out of his mothers.
