The adorable care bears were first created by the American Greetings company in the year 1981. They were created to be used in greeting cards and became very popular with the public. The artist Elena Kucharik was the first to create the images of our beloved care bears and in 1983 they became a series of teddy bears popular with children. They were later given their own cartoon series that lasted from 1985 to 1988 and then got three major cartoon movies called The Care Bears Movie, Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation, and The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland.
Each of the Care Bears come in a different color and have colorful graphics on their bellies. Care Bears are capable of causing magical power bolts to shoot out from their bellies to help solve many problems. Each of the Care Bears has a different lightning bolt that shoots out of their bellies and contains all of their special love and care. Each Care Bear has a different specialized graphic and a different special care. For example, Bedtime Bear has a sleepy crescent moon on his belly. He is able to send a special care ray during sleep. And Cheer Bear is a happy guy who can help others feel happier with his beam of cheery energy.
Even today, Care Bears are popular with children. They love to snuggle up with their special care bear. The Care Bears have all kinds of merchandise and entertainment available. You’ll find them in cartoons, books, music, classic Care Bear toys, video games, and even comics. They still feature the Care Bears on greeting cards, so you can send a Care Bears card to someone special on their birthday.
