Beware of the dangers of BIAS in our political system!

Perhaps due to some of the atrocities, in recent times, against people of color, and the different attitude, actions, and treatment given, the term systemic racism has become much more pervasive! Unfortunately, in our society, fears and hatred have long been believed by many, and BIAS, It has been possible, thanks to the rhetoric, action and attitude of the former president, several other members of his political party and the current composition of our judicial system, etc. If we hope to continue to be the beacon of light for the rest of the world regarding democracy, freedoms and rights, we must, now, before it is too late, do everything we can to address these challenges. a, what we have considered, as our Constitutional guarantees, and especially, the line, with freedom and justice for all! With that in mind, this article will briefly try to consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important.

1. Benefits; beliefs; best best; belonging; fanaticism: From our inception, many Americans felt that the inherent benefits, declared in our Constitution, were the key to our national identity, etc. Although, unfortunately, we have often witnessed intolerance, the back of its ugly head, we believed that the courts would protect them! However, with the change, created by political manipulation, in recent years, few feel safe, standing up, with the rulings of the Supreme Court and the subsequent laws, such as, Roe vs. Wade, they are under attack! We are witnessing a dangerous degree of hate crimes, including against people of color, anti-Semitism, women’s rights, etc., clearly on the rise! Instead of elected officials trying to do everything they can to make things better, too many have focused on their personal/political agenda and/or their own interests, rather than improving the feelings of belonging for all of our citizens. When prejudice, intolerance, prejudice and hate are allowed, we run the risk of it becoming the new: normal!

two. Integrity; ideology/ideals; prospects; problems: Many studies indicate, Americans now hold, the Supreme Court, at its lowest level of esteem, etc., in recent memory! The integrity of some of the judges, as well as the apparent willingness of some to replace longstanding American ideals and policies, with their personal/political ideals and agenda, are dangerous to the future of this nation! We need issues that challenge our focus on human rights and equality, to be replaced by higher ideals and views, that consider not only populism, but also the long-term sustainable future and its ramifications, etc. !

3. Attitude; fitness; attention; articulate: The politics of negativism and polarization must be replaced by a realistic, positive, solution-oriented, action-oriented attitude, etc.! Unfortunately, it seems that too many elected officials seem to lack the aptitude and skill set to do so. Unless voters begin to pay close attention and understand that articulate messages, centered on hate, bigotry, and division, are counterproductive to national well-being, we risk losing our national identity – forever!

Four. systemic; system; solutions; service: Those who protect a system, from systemic racism, etc., are serving the self-interest of the haters and oppose what America claims to be, in everything! It is high time that viable and well-thought-out solutions become the central ideology, etc.!

Wake up, America, and stop allowing, BIAS, be, normalized! We must do it, sooner rather than later!
