WoW Leatherworking: Gear Up and Trade!

As one of the craft professions in World of Warcraft, leatherworking can be used to create a variety of cool items. At first you will focus on creating leather armor, but you should know that leatherwork is more than that.

You probably know that you are going to need a lot of leather for the leatherworking profession. That is why the Skinning profession together with her is a good idea because you will be able to gather all the materials yourself.

As you increase your skills, you will be given the option to specialize in crafting different types of items, including mail armor, although we will discuss that later.

Along with the armor that you can make, you can also make useful and profitable items like leather handbags. In addition to this, you can also create armor kits that can be used to upgrade some items or can also be sold. A leatherworker can also create leg armor which is great because you can apply it to the armor you wear to make it stronger.

The great thing about a furrier is that he can also create leg armor that is soul bound and can only be applied on the furrier’s own equipment. These special leg armors are of course of better quality than interchangeable leg armors. In addition to these leg armors, fur linings can also be made that can be applied to the furrier’s bracers to greatly enhance them.

A furrier can make different types of fur linings and basically a fur lining can be made for different purposes such as enhancing the furrier’s spell, tank, or dps casting capabilities.

As you reach the higher levels of the leatherworking profession, you can specialize in specific branches of leatherworking:

  • Dragon Scale Leatherworking. Leather isn’t the only type of armor you can make with Leatherworking. If a leatherworker chooses Dragonscale Leatherworking, they will be able to craft mail armor. Hunters and shamans will benefit from this because they can wear this type of armor.
  • Elemental Leatherworking. This type of Leatherworking has been designed for players who use leather and have taken up the Leatherworking profession. If you choose this type of leatherworking you can create armor specially designed for casters.
  • Tribal leatherwork. Wild Druids and Rogues are the type of characters that will benefit from this branch. This type of leatherworking will allow leatherworkers to create items that will enhance their melee damage and tank capabilities.

Being able to specialize in particular parts of leatherwork is great because then you can better meet your character’s needs. If you specialize in one branch, you can still create many good items that are available to all three types of furriers.

Leatherworking is ideal for any class that has to rely on leather and mail armor such as shamans, hunters, druids, and rogues. Because furriers can create various items that many players need, it can also be a profitable profession.

As well as bags and armor kits, etc. You can also create a variety of epic and rare items that can be sold at the Auction House. Since a furrier also has the advantage of being able to make fur linings and kits for his own armor, you can say that you can benefit a lot from practicing this profession.
