Introduction to detox diets

Detoxifying the body has become an apparent key preventative measure for all kinds of health problems. Since most of us are busy and we are unable or unwilling to maintain a strict diet to completely remove all toxins from our body. We have chemicals that build up in our bodies day after day. Since these chemicals are not harmful in small amounts, only in large cumulative amounts, we do not notice any side effects until we are much older. A proper detox diet, even occasional, is necessary to relieve our body of toxins and harmful chemicals, and to maintain a healthy, normal and long-lasting life.

The main idea of a detox diet is to eliminate almost all foods and restrict the body to only water and vegetables for a few days; usually about 5 or 6 days is enough. Most detox diets allow for a slow reintroduction of other foods, gradually. Diets generally restrict foods in your diet that are said to have harmful toxins. Along with this, a detox diet should remove existing toxins from the body. A detox diet essentially gives the liver and other organs a chance to catch up and flush out all toxins. This is done through our sweat, feces, and urine.

Our bodies simply cannot cope with the normal daily ingestion of chemicals. Most of these chemicals come from food, as mentioned above, but they also have a wide variety of other sources. Although we don’t know which foods are the cause of all this, we do know that pesticides, heavy metals like mercury and lead, and chemicals in cigarettes and the air we breathe all enter our bodies through lungs or stomach and can cause excessive build-up. These chemicals in small amounts are harmless; It is the daily ingestion and the accumulation of them that can lead to degenerative diseases.

A common detox diet is the combination of nothing but fruit and water for a set period. Promoting chemicals that are metabolized by our body can be helped with certain vitamins, herbs, and supplements. Some supplements will help the mobilization of toxins in our fat and other toxin stores located throughout the body. Since our bodies get rid of chemicals through sweat, sauna therapies can also provide great benefit. There are many other detox diets and therapies, these are just a few common methods. Regular body detoxification is a good preventive action and promotes a healthier present and future!
