How to save money buying a used or refurbished mobile phone

Not everyone can afford some of the outrageous prices charged for some of the smartphones on the market. If you are someone who wants a phone that can do a lot more than just texting and taking calls, but can’t afford a new one, then you may want to consider buying a used or refurbished mobile phone.

When you start looking for one, it is important that you understand that whatever phone you buy, be it AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc., it will be the company you have to go with. So when you get a used phone, make sure you have done your research on phone service. Because if you buy a used phone from Verizon, you will have to use Verizon for your phone service.

When you are shopping for a used phone, be it for personal use or mobile phone marketing or for some other reason, you still need to be able to find a good and reliable source to get this phone. There are quite a few sellers on the Internet that sell used and refurbished phones. One in particular would be eBay and with eBay you can at least check how the seller ranks with customers before spending some of your money on the product.

You also want to see if, even if it is used, the phone will come with some kind of warranty, or a guarantee or some kind of return policy in case something goes wrong with the phone, especially right after you receive it. Most people who sell used phones offer a 15 to 90 day warranty on a used product. It just depends on whether the phone is actually used or has been refurbished. You will probably get a longer warranty on one that has been reconditioned than just used.

Make sure to do some price comparisons before deciding on a particular phone. Pay close attention when shopping too, if you’re not careful you might miss out on coupon deals on some company websites, so be sure to pay close attention to any promotions they may have. Finding one of these could save you even more money. And we all want to save more money, don’t we?

Make sure if you go to eBay and find sellers who prove they have their own website as well, you visit the websites. You might be surprised to find that they sell many of their items much cheaper on their own website than on eBay. So be sure to keep your eyes open for that possibility.
