Foods to eat when you have hemorrhoids

They may simply work to reduce that incredibly intense itching that can accompany even minor hemorrhoids. Eat the berries directly (they are widely available these days throughout the year) or drink fruit juices made from them. Consider other red and black berries, including blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries for this purpose.

4. Ginger, garlic and onion. These can be beneficial as they break down fibrin. This normally helps repair tissues that can build up excessively and cause further inflammation in the affected area. Try changing the increasing amount in your diet if you eat little (and decrease for a period if you currently eat a lot).

5. Dark leafy vegetables. These should be part of almost any healthy diet and appear to be associated with a lower chance of cancer. Specifically, they can have a beneficial effect on bleeding hemorrhoids, as can beans and flax seeds.

Bottom Line: Modify your diet by ingesting fiber to reduce constipation and the consequent stress that will be imposed on you when a movement happens.
